I have always been fascinated by the work of these men on their stepladders, a pot of
glue and broom in hand, deftly removing air bubbles trapped under the sticky, crackling
paper with a few decisive sweeps. The effect is magical , just the right amount of glus,
nicely even, precisely matched edges.
With the advent of digital displays all over the planet, this subterranean scene is
becoming rare, and will eventually disappear.
